Hello all, welcome to "The Ready Room!"  Let me first lay the ground rules for the blog.  This is a family-oriented modeling blog.  I'd like to encourage discussion, tips, techniques, building, finishing, and enhancing of 1/72nd scale modern military aircraft modeling.  Absolutely NO: political rants, nudity/pornography, profanity, arguing, demeaning comments, or posting images containing: blood, violence, gore, gang symbols, threats, or negative communications.  Any and all types of the above postings will be deleted and reported to the appropriate authorities.  *Note: Your freindly Owner/Manager and Moderator of Modern Hobbies LLC just happens to be a Law Enforment Officer on his "day job."  To say you'll not hear the end of it would be an understatement.  Like the Crew Chief back in the hangar would discourage, "Lets not go there."  So then, lets get this blog going!  All pilots have been cleared for flight, get to the flight-line, man your jets!

Is it all cops in here building 72nd?!? Of course I work in a small seaside town on the Soth West coast of England, but we're all the same really!
Still want an interior for the Hasegawa Prowler (hint hint!)

Ha ha! Actually- former cop here, so I guess so. I think this company is one of the more exciting things in modeling in a while- 1/72 seems ignored by aftermarket.

I'm not a police officer, but, I ...er, never mind!!!! I'd like to second Drewe's reqest for the Prowler Tub!!! I have SIX Hase Prowlers, and they need HELP. I live in Cleveland, and have been involved in IPMS for about 28 years (gasp! I'm OLD!!!). I am sure I have seen your work before, and, I can tell you, the "Divine Scale Society" (72nd scale builders, mainly in NE Ohio) will be happy to have an ally in the fight against large scale tyranny and giant scale injustice!!!). I am an apartment dweller, and space is at a premium! Having said that, I look forward to what the future may hold for you and your company!!!!!!

Dear Greg;
Been enjoying seeing your models over at ARC for sometime and GLAD to see that you selling some of your products.
Have you thought about doing some UPDATES for the Italeri F-5E kits???
I got about 20 that I interested in doing as both USAF/USN "Aggressors" in 1/72nd scale.
Look forward in hearing from you and keep up the GREAT work.
"Thanks" again!

Jim Mc,

I have you covered my good man, the Modern Hobbies hanger stands ready! Armed with tiny GBU-38's Sniper pods and the like..we'll wipe those 1/48th scale maggots off the model shelves..LOL! I'm particularly interested in a cockpit set for the Hasegawa kits. I'm currently reserching and should have a working master in no time. Thanks for the encouragement Jim Mc.

Thomas,

Hows it going? Been a while since I've been able to build an do an article but I've got a project up my sleave to annouce my latest items due June 16. Funny you mention F-5E..I've just updated the site with pics of my F-5E. Yep, I'd definately have plans to upgrade the Italeri kit canopy. other than the canopy, what else would you like to see for the kit? I don't have a kit in the stash currently, but at last look it as pretty spartan. Thanks for the kind words and encourgement Thomas!
